This notice explains how personal data of visitors to www.akaconnection.com is processed, pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended.

2. Data we collect

Data you provide: when you fill in a contact form or write to us, we collect your name, email address, company, area of interest and the content of your message.

Browsing data: the systems that run this website automatically acquire some technical data during normal operation (e.g. IP address, browser type, date and time of the request). This data is used only to ensure the security and correct functioning of the website.

3. Purposes and legal basis

a) Answering your requests and taking steps prior to a possible contract – legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

b) Managing any business relationship that follows – legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

c) Security and correct functioning of the website – legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

d) Compliance with legal obligations (e.g. tax and accounting) – legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. We do not send marketing communications without your prior consent.

4. Providing your data

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required: without them we cannot reply to your request. All other fields are optional.

5. Recipients

Your data is processed by authorised staff of the Data Controller and may be shared with service providers acting as data processors (e.g. website hosting and email providers). Your data is never disseminated or sold to third parties.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Should a transfer outside the EU be necessary, it will take place only with the safeguards required by Articles 44 et seq. GDPR (e.g. adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Retention

Contact requests are kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, unless a business relationship follows. In that case, data is kept for the duration of the relationship and for 10 years afterwards, as required by law.

Technical browsing data is kept only for the time strictly necessary for security purposes.

8. Your rights

You may at any time exercise the rights provided by Articles 15–22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali – www.garanteprivacy.it).
